These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of locksmith services provided by our company ("we," "us," or "our") operating in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. By requesting or using our services, you ("Customer" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.
By contacting us, requesting a quote, or allowing our technicians to perform work, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any additional terms provided at the time of service.
We provide professional locksmith services including but not limited to: emergency lockout services, lock installation and repair, key cutting and duplication, rekeying, smart lock installation, security assessments, and related locksmith services for residential, commercial, and automotive applications.
By requesting our services, you represent and warrant that you are the legal owner of the property or vehicle, or have proper authorization from the owner to request locksmith services. You agree to provide valid identification and proof of ownership or authorization when requested. We reserve the right to refuse service if proper documentation cannot be provided.
All prices quoted are estimates based on the information provided by the Customer. Final pricing may vary depending on the actual work required, materials used, time of service, and complexity of the job. We will inform you of any price changes before proceeding with the work whenever possible.
A service call fee starting at $29 applies for dispatching a technician to your location. This fee covers travel time and initial assessment. The service call fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to proceed with the service after the assessment.
Emergency services requested outside regular business hours (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM) may be subject to premium rates. Emergency rates will be disclosed at the time of booking or quote request.
Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and e-transfer. A receipt will be provided for all transactions. Customers are responsible for any banking fees associated with their payment method.
While we strive to provide prompt service with arrival times of 15-30 minutes for emergency calls, response times are estimates and may vary due to traffic conditions, weather, technician availability, and geographic location. Response times are not guaranteed.
We provide 24/7 emergency locksmith services throughout Toronto and GTA. However, service availability may be limited during extreme weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to reschedule non-emergency services as needed.
All services are performed by licensed and insured professional locksmiths. We use quality materials and follow industry best practices. However, we cannot guarantee that locks will never fail or that security cannot be compromised, as no lock or security system is completely impenetrable.
We warranty our workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of service. If a lock or service fails due to faulty installation or workmanship within this period, we will repair or replace it at no additional charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, forced entry, normal wear and tear, or acts of nature.
Locks, keys, and other materials we supply are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We will assist with warranty claims for defective products. Our liability for defective products is limited to replacement or repair of the defective item.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of use.
While we take all reasonable precautions to prevent damage to your property, in some cases (such as emergency lockouts or damaged locks) some damage may be unavoidable. We will inform you of potential risks before proceeding. We carry liability insurance, and any claims for property damage must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
Customers must provide accurate information about their location, the nature of the service required, and any relevant details that may affect the service delivery or pricing. Providing false or misleading information may result in additional charges or service refusal.
Customers are responsible for providing a safe environment for our technicians to work. This includes disclosing any hazards, ensuring access to the work area, and controlling pets during service.
Customers are responsible for the proper use and maintenance of locks and keys after service. We are not responsible for lockouts, lost keys, or lock failures that occur after service completion due to misuse or lack of maintenance.
If you need to cancel a scheduled service, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time may be subject to a cancellation fee. Once a technician has been dispatched and is en route, the service call fee will apply even if service is cancelled.
Service call fees are non-refundable. Refunds for completed services will only be provided in cases of significant service failure or errors on our part, at our sole discretion. Refund requests must be made within 7 days of service completion.
We collect and use personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy laws including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Personal information collected includes your name, address, contact information, and payment details, which are used solely for providing services and maintaining records.
We retain customer information and service records as required by law and for business purposes. Customer information will not be shared with third parties except as required to provide services (such as payment processing) or as required by law.
If you have any concerns about our services, please contact us immediately. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly. All complaints should be submitted in writing via email within 14 days of service completion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, the parties agree to pursue mediation before initiating legal proceedings.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with any written service agreements or quotes, constitute the entire agreement between you and our company regarding the services provided and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by our authorized representative.
While we provide 24/7 emergency services, we cannot guarantee immediate availability in all situations. In life-threatening emergencies, customers should contact emergency services (911) before contacting a locksmith.
Any security recommendations or advice provided by our technicians are opinions based on their professional experience. We do not guarantee that following our recommendations will prevent all security breaches or unauthorized access.
